Karl E. Lerch, CPA - Manager, Audit and Assurance Services

Karl joined the firm in 2003 and currently serves as manager of audit and assurance services. In that role, Karl is responsible for planning and execution of all the firm’s audit engagements as well as many of our review and other attestation engagements. Prior to joining the firm, Karl had over five years’ experience as an audit senior with KPMG as well as several local firms. Karl is originally from Canada where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto in 1992 and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Windsor in 1995, earning his CPA in 1996. Karl is also member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA society.

Karl and his wife, Susanna, are avid photographers and enjoy exploring new places with their cameras. They are regular visitors to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and local art and antique shows. With the rest of his spare time, Karl is expanding his woodworking and handyman skills addressing the long list of projects that come with owning a 90-year old home.
